Grendel experimantation 1

Grendel is one of three antagonists, along with Grendel's mother and the dragon, in the Anglo-Saxon epic poem "Beowulf". Grendel is usually depicted as a humanoid monster, but there is no clear description how he looks like, so I think it would be a better Idea to create him instead of dwarf Sindri for a character design project. Here I experimented with Celtic motifs from Alex Sherman's book to create this monster. I also made this short speedpaint video if anyone would be interested how I do everything usually.

  1. Hey Dom - about a million more times exciting/expressive already! It would be great to see you use this manipulation technique to work out Grendel's actual anatomy - as opposed to his armor - for example - but this is good stuff, Dom - just make lots and lots and lots of work - and keep everything nice and fluid.
